I really suck at keeping up on these. I’ve just been so busy that I forget to upload these things at least once a week. Anyway, this is a photo that I’ve posted before, but this place feels like my home. I love being able to work in the museum and show kids fossils. It’s great to see their eyes light up when they get to talk to me and interact with real dinosaur/ancient animal stuff. It makes me so happy.

It has been a long but good week. The mister and I went horseback riding on Thursday and had a great time. We might have also found a house to move into after the massive amount of nonsense that has been going on in our lives. I’m really hoping everything turns out right. I’ll have more information next week…

Last week was ‘Ologist Day’ at the museum. A friend of mine was the paleontologist that was talking, and I was busy cleaning fossils for most of the day. Luckily, I got to sneak out for a few minutes and hold this pretty tarantula thanks to the entemologist that was there. She was absolutely gorgeous and I just wanted to keep her forever.

(A friend took this photo… don’t mind anyone in the background haha)

I’ve been falling behind on these things because of school and work. This is from when I was in Zion. I was at the top of the Canyon Overlook Trail. I can’t wait to go back in summer and hike The Narrows and The Subway.

Today I started work as a volunteer Paleontologist at a local museum. I brought one of my bison skulls with me and a femur. I got the femur finished and vinac’d and got a lot of the sediment out of the skull. She is officially named Bessy, too.

It was great to be sitting in a fishbowl doing the type of work that I love. I loved watching kids’ eyes light up when they asked me about everything. I am absolutely in love with everything that I am doing.
